  1. I suppose that if I like the album 'Storm Of The Light's Bane' and consider it a remarkable album, excellent in its style I must be a fan of Dissection, but for what am I going to hear albums that imitate others and therefore position themselves in a situation of inferiority voluntarily, because they will never overcome what they imitate precisely to imitate it. This album lacks the brilliance of the compositions of that of Dissection, it is mediocre.

  2. Great band, obviously Dissection was on top of the Swedish Melodic B.M. bands but Sacramentum was in the level of Necrophobic,Dawn and Naglfar.I had this CD reissue from this small brazilian label (Zenor Recordz) but the source of the music seemed to be from low bitrate mp3 (128 spectrum graphic) not from the original mastertape

  3. Dissection was not Black Metal as I understand it, more like (Melodic) Death-Black Metal. What do you mean by 128 spectrum graphic? I assume you know how to see on the frequency spectrum graphic if an audio file is lossy, from what you say.

  4. Yep,The exact genre would be Melodic Black/Death but since the beginning the band was associated with the B.M. scene despited they didn't wear corpsepaint.About the CD sound quality source,I made a Flac and 320 own rips when I owned this version and graphic quality was lossy as a 128 bitrate or a transcode

  5. More than because of the corpse paint, I said that they are more Death Metal due to the cleanliness of the sound of the guitars, as well as for the precise execution, although the tremolo picking is something typical of Black Metal, but not so much the cleanliness and execution accuracy. Their third album Reinkaos barely has a Black Metal influence and more Melodic Death Metal and Thrash.
And to check if they are lossy files you should have checked the frequency spectrum monitor on the extracted lossless files directly, but it is plausible to me unfortunately.

  6. I don't know why google is not showing my account name but I am frostdomain and have a extreme metal blog since 15 years.
I agree that Reinkaos is more D.M. and too far from the old Dissection style, first 2 albums have at least 60 % of B.M. elements, including the tremolo pickings, drum speed, atmosphere and vocalization.
Nothing to do with first era of Swedish Melodic D.M. like At the Gates,Dark Tranquillity or In Flames.
Dissection had more similarity with Unanimated that is another Swedish band that always loved since the beginning.
Finishing the Sacramentum CD topic,I confirm that this edition music source was lossy,I own the european CD edition and frequency spectrum look real 320.
This brazilian label just released a few albums and then disappeared, kind of unofficial and unprofessional management.
Thanks for the interchange of ideas.
    Greetings
