I've never been interested in the speed of music in itself, except because it was good music whose speed made it more intense, see Defleshed 'Under The Blade', 'Reclaim the Beat', Deicide 'Once Upon The Cross', etc. Because resorting to speed or slowness in the tempo of songs has always seemed to me an excuse when you don't have good ideas.
