An extremely bizarre progg-metal project that featured absolutely no guitars, being solely reliant on two singers, a Hammond organ player (the Death Organ’) and a rhythm section. Whilst drummer Marcus Kallstrom has a metallic pedigree thanks to stints with Swedish bands like Six Feet Under, Stonecake and Sky High, vocalist Patrik Schultz is ex-Enslavement while bassist Klas Hagglund were a Stonecake member. The band released the 5-track 93 Demo that gave them a record deal and the debut album 9 To 5 was released by Ad Perpetuam Memoriam records in June 1995.

I don't know if replacing the guitar with a Hammond organ would qualify the music as 'Avant-garde'. The singers are good, and the music is somewhere between rock and heavy metal with progressive elements; it sounds like an interesting album.
